Where are you?

This is where I honor that quiet is stronger than loud; that substance will always trump status; that real leaders don't obsess over creating more followers (because they're busy creating more leaders). This is also where I share work that I create for myself and others, with some rumination and occasional lolly-gagging along the way.  Other writers, artists, and intellectuals will be invited to do the same in The Honest Q & A's.  Until our paths cross again, please make yourself at home.

Newest Work

It’s serendipitous that I’ve written a piece on the ferry trip to Orcas Island for Kinfolk’s newest travel book on slower ways to see the world. They're the brand that reshaped my design aesthetic a decade ago, inspired the making of Ōde, and led me to embrace a “slow” life.

Ōde: Orcas Island

Ōde is an ongoing visual and literary project exploring the world’s irresistibly unique and compelling communities, cultures and concepts. Volume One: Orcas Island was released last year. Read more at www.odeislove.com

Happy to report that the movie A Nice Girl Like You, based on my book “Pornology” made it on the top ten Apple & NY Times list for two months.

The movie based on my non-fiction book was released in 2020 and was scored by my talented friend, Pulitzer-nominated maestro Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, The Proposal, Sex and the City, Wakefield). It is now available to rent wherever you rent your movies or free on Hulu in the states, free on HBO Max if you are in Portugal, and free on Netflix in some countries.
